Benjamin Hawk (Alessandri), originally a heir to the Alexandrian Empire, direct descendant of Aeren Alessandri, was born with an illness that could not be cured by any traditional or magical means. Over time the illness began to eat away at his body, shutting down his organs and killing him slowly. Because of this, his mother sought out a long term acquaintance who was savvy enough in the field of magic and technology enough to make a new body for Benjamin. The process was skeptical to most since this would be the first android to walk the land, and be in the royal family, no less. After the process was complete, Benjamin underwent plenty of therapy and training, which made him into a highly adequate resource for the empire. With this in mind, and the knowledge of the threat beyond the reach of those on the planet, the mission to travel the cosmos became a primary concern. Over time, the sciences of Alexandria advanced to the point of possible space travel capability, thus the first space voyage was launched with Benjamin as its pilot. All was going well, until a rupture in the fuel line caused the ship to drift through space uncontrollably. To save on ship power in case of emergency, he put the ship on power save stasis mode. Weeks and months had passed before seeing anything other than rocks and stars, then one day the ship drifted into a smugglers route. The ship found him and reeled him in, assuming to get some free loot from just another dead pilot. After prying open the cockpit, it dropped the stasis and Benjamin awoke to find himself no longer drifting alone through the cosmos. To his lucky benefit, the smuggler that found him was actually not one of the worse ones he could have come across. He was an older alien man who went by the name of Taar. The guy helped him understand where he now was, and how to get on his feet in this part of the galaxy. He explained many things but none of which was easy to comprehend, being from a more lawful and less advanced part of the galaxy. Over time, with no where else to go, Ben started working with Taar. He claimed Ben could go into bounty hunting with his skill set and training, and he would probably be better off with it. One day, after docking on the Absalom station, Ben decided he would no longer be a burden on the old alien and that he would go into business for himself as a hunter. They parted ways, and a couple years later Ben had become lightly established. His name was still very small in this area but he was getting there, attempting the longest, most dangerous and most paying jobs he could find. Soon he set up shop at whatever tavern or cantina he found to be in need of his skill set.
